Jae Song

Economist, Office of Disability Adjudication and Review, Social Security Administration

Jae Song currently works as an economist at the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review at the SSA. He joined the Office of Policy, Division of Economic Research, at SSA in July 1999 after receiving his Ph.D. in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany. His major fields were Econometrics and Health. His primary research interest is in the labor force activity of individuals with disabilities, including applications for SSDI and SSI.  Some of his recent work includes work and earnings dynamics around the time of OASDI benefit entitlement, Inequality and Mobility in Social Security Earnings Data, and Effects of Removal of the Retirement Earnings Test in 2000.
